Who was the first president and founder of Myspace?
- Mark Zuckerberg
- Tom Anderson
Let us all jump back to 2005, when getting a Facebook account was almost as difficult as getting a fake I.D., there was Myspace. It started off as a place where unknown artists could launch their own 'free websites' to let people know when gigs were or shows could be seen but then it stemmed into a platform where people could advertise themselves. At the time it was the biggest social networking site with over 100 million accounts by 2006. It wasn't until 2008, when people began to shift over to Facebook and Myspace saw its users dwindle. Now, the site is owned by Tim Vanderhook and- surprise!- Justin Timberlake and Myspace has gone back to its roots as a portal for entertainers to connect with fans but we're still hoping for a "MySpace Top 8 Friends" throwback!
- David Filo
- Steve Ballme
