Who is the oldest person to ever win an Oscar?

  • Christopher Plummer correct

Nominated at 87 for her role in Titanic, Gloria Stuart is still the eldest Oscar nominee however, the eldest winner is Christopher Plummer for his role in the 2010 film Beginners. He was 84 at the time. The story line is about a man who tells his son that he not only is terminally ill, he's got a young boyfriend, too. Definitely a bit of a contrast from his role as Charles Muntz in Up.
