What were the first words ever spoken on the moon?

  • "We come in peace."
  • "One small step for man, one giant leap for man kind."
  • “Houston, Tranquility base here. The Eagle has landed.” correct

Texans love to brag that the first word spoken on the moon was “Houston” when the astronauts announced to the station that they had landed. However, it probably isn't the first word. Many scientists argue that before the “Houston” message, there was a bunch of technical jargon that took place. According to them, “Contact” was the first word spoken on the moon. However, everyone agrees “Houston, Tranquility base here. The Eagle has landed.” was the first direct message down to Earth, and quite frankly, it just doesn't get more American (or awesome) than that. Source: KHOU News
