What is the highest price ever paid for a domain name?

  • $583,000
  • $2 million
  • $13.5 million
  • $35.6 million correct

Insurance.com was bought for $35.6 million making it the highest price ever paid for a URL. We are hoping Tesla didn't have to dish out as much when it finally bought "Tesla.com" last month. This could mean something as big as Apple dropping the "computers" from its name right before introducing the iPhone. If Tesla starts making phones with wifi as fast as their cars, they may really catch onto something. Source: Business Insider.
