At what temperature should you keep red wines?

  • 45-55 degrees
  • 55-65 degrees correct

10 degrees is a big leap between wines but the truth is that specific reds need to be kept at specific temperatures. Take a syrah, for example, should be kept around 65 degrees but blends should be kept closer to 55 degrees. The key with reds is to keep them at room temperature for an hour before serving in order for it to taste less alcohol heavy. It will also taste less alcohol heavy after the second glass.
