Who was the U.S. president during World War I?
- Harry S. Truman
- Herbert Hoover
- Franklin Delano Roosevelt
- Woodrow Wilson
Being the president during any war is not a party but a World War is probably the worst. Woodrow Wilson served in office from 1913 to 1921 and the U.S. involvement in the first World War was smack-dab in the middle of his terms! To be fair, Wilson really didn't want to get involved and for the first three years, he kind of just waited it out until 1917 when Congress decided it was time to declare war on Germany. After the war, Wilson drew up plans to join the League of Nations. We were rejected -because America- but Wilson won a Nobel Prize for his peacemaking efforts, regardless. Source: The History Channel
