Who invented cotton candy?

    In Australia, they call it "Fairy Floss" so it's probably a little more acceptable that a dentist came up with the candy that is made solely of spun sugar. Dentist, William Morrison presented his invention at the 1904 World's Fair to much success but it wasn't until 1921 when Joseph Lascaux, an entirely different dentist built a Cotton Candy machine in the U.S. and it became a grand slam. If this isn't one of those "Create a problem and be the solution" things then I don't know what is!
