Which state is the ‘Greenest State’ in the U.S.?

  • Vermont correct

Vermont continues to be rated as America’s greenest state. Part of the reason for the high rating is because of its low population. It has the second smallest population, which means it produces less pollution. However, it’s not just the low population that makes them the greenest state. Vermont also has several polices in place that promote alternative energy. Maine and New Hampshire come in at second and third on the list.
