Where are a butterfly's tastebuds located?

    Butterflies have extremely sensitive taste receptors that are located on the bottom of their feet. Can you imagine that? Tasting food with your feet?! Butterflies eat by extending their proboscis into flowers and sipping out the nectar. The top speed a butterfly can fly is at around 12 miles per hour, however, a moth can go as fast as 25 miles per hour.
