When was the Treaty of Paris signed?

    In 1783! The British and Americans began discussing the terms of an agreement which would later be called The Treaty of Paris. Once signed, this treaty effectively ended The American Revolution. The Continental Congress had wanted John Adams, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, Henry Laurens and Benjamin Franklin to negotiate the treaty. However, Jefferson did not make the meeting on time and Laurens was in jail. Only Jay, Adams and Franklin attended. Source. History.com
