What is the most shoplifted food item in the U.S.?

  • Cheese correct

According to a report done by the Global Retail Theft Barometer and Checkpoint Systems, the most shoplifted food item in the U.S. really stinks! Because cheese is easy to conceal and is kept in a refrigerator, which doesn't usually get as much monitoring as an aisleway, it is the number one stolen food item followed closely by raw meats (because you would definitely smell a bucket of fried chicken hiding under someone's coat). Although with the price of imported cheese at the grocery store, swiping it may actually be a gouda idea! Source: The Guardian and Checkpoint Systems (Also, Trivia Hive does not endorse thievery. Don't steal cheese.)
