    If you guessed the three little dots because you had no clue what it was then you actually guessed correctly. The three dots in a row in grammar are called an ellipsis. It used to solely mean that certain words from a text had been omitted but these days an ellipsis is used to also signify someone is typing on the other end of an iPhone or when there is an awkward pause or silence.
