# How many sides does a hexagon have?

- 5
- 6
If you remember anything from geometry, hopefully you remember that a hexagon is a 6-sided polygon. If not, we don't blame you. High school was a long time ago for us, too. Did you know that the sides of a hexagon don't have to be the same length? Hexagons with some sides that are longer than others are called irregular hexagons and ones that have sides that curve inward are called concaved hexagons. See? Life is a little better when you aren't so square! Source: The McDougal Littell Jurgensen Geometry Textbook Teacher Edition
